Hi I'm Merlin, welcome!
I'm an artist on a mission to empower people to celebrate compassion, community and connection. Through my art and community I aim to uplift like-minded souls - nurturing positivity, hope and joy to build resilience for life’s challenges.
The new 'Together' art collection launched with 20 first edition prints and two original paintings available.
These artworks feature many key elements of my practice: a bold, bright color palette to evoke positivity, and the repeated phrase "UNITE 2 THRIVE" to highlight the power of community. The characters are shown in relationship together, celebrating our human connection.
My Story. As a hippy kid in the 70s, I was always drawing, and by the 80s, I was designing skateboards and finding community with other outsiders and misfits. But as a professional designer, my personal expression stalled. After becoming disillusioned with corporate design, I turned to creating animations for charities and focused on causes like climate action and mental health. Though I started finding my voice, the pandemic and intense work on topics like domestic abuse, suicide and global corruption led to burnout. From this low point, I rediscovered my artistic voice, focusing on positivity and connection. Now, through my art and community, I aim to uplift like-minded souls, fostering hope, resilience, and joy in the face of life’s challenges.
The Together collection. Only two original artworks and 20 first edition prints available.
I've printing a first edition of 20 prints - I may do more in the future but this is it for now!

For me Merlin’s work is the ultimate expression of joy and positivity that is so needed right now. In a world in which we currently seem to have a shortfall of love, his work and his ethos fills your belly with energising warmth. The nod to 90s rave culture and the pop art greats such as Keith Harring represent energy and movement, and an optimistic belief in humanity and the power of love.

Your motive to help deliver feelings of hope and belonging in your work is really thoughtful. Living in a world which can feel grey your art radiates colour in neon sunshiny hope, love and positivity. It's like a fat punch of positivity in the face!
